As the western calendar turns, the first sunrise of the new year breaks over Kiribati, then sweeps across Moana‑nui‑a‑Kiwa to Aotearoa, where we greet our own first light soon after. We send good vibes to our Indigenous whānau across the world, wishing everyone a safe and hopeful new year, on the first day of 2026.
