🎥 NEW VIDEO 🎥 (DELAYED POST)

Here’s another “Portraits” video that I filmed during one of the photo shoots I did with my medium format camera :) this time round, we have the amazing Simon Gilchrist.

I was lucky enough to have been connected with Simon through a mutual friend a few years back and have had a chance to have worked with him on a couple of film projects.

Thank you again Simon for sharing your love and passion for acting, and for agreeing to do this photo shoot before you jetted off to Europe to expand on your craft 🤗 always enjoyed our hang outs and chats and look forward to when we cross paths again :) maybe on another film? ✌️

🎥 NEW FILM 🎥

Over the last few months there’s been a lot of reflecting, getting in touch with how I’ve been truly feeling, and just generally slowing down and trying to fall back in love with the “process.” Making this little film was such a breath of fresh air for me in a sense that, there was no plan or expectations other than to just create something for the sake of creating. Also letting go of the pressure of what that had to look like, and have it be an honest representation of where I’m at. I guess “going with the flow” was how this was made, which was nice :)

Thanks so much to my good friend John for helping me translate my writing into Korean. I’ve been wanting more and more to get back in touch with my roots so I had another crack at speaking the language.

So I hope you enjoy this wee film, and also enjoy hearing me attempt to speak Korean 😅 You’ll probably hear a slight kiwi twang to those who are accustomed to the language but either way, it’s amazing to share this side of me with you all 🤗

🎥 NEW VIDEO 🎥 (DELAYED POST)

Over the last wee while, I’ve found such joy in taking portraits with my medium format camera. I love the way that shooting with film slows down the overall process, which has also given me time and space to think about what shots I want to take. But most of all, I feel like it has allowed me to connect with the person I’m taking photos of a lot more 🤗

So during these shoots, it’s been fun to find some time to grab little sound bites of the person’s inspirations and why they love what they do :)

Thank you Lisa for sharing your love for acting and what inspires you. It was so lovely to have spent the afternoon connecting over our favourite movies, shows and just about life in general. Sharing a bit of Lana Del Ray and Linkin Park was also great too 😆

Beyond stoked and over the moon! Thanks so much to NZ Web Fest for selecting our short film, “Letters,” as a finalist and for nominating it for “Best Directing” for the New Zealand Short Fiction category 🤗

So so grateful to Angela and Sam for being part of this and creating this with me. It wouldn’t have been possible without you two incredible humans! Thank you for bringing your magic to this 🥰

A few months ago I entered a couple of our work into a bi-monthly film festival that is run by World Indie Film Awards, and just recently received some incredible and exciting news!

Not only did our “One Time” music video with the Deceptikonz got an official selection, but our short film “Letters” just won BEST DRAMA SHORT for their July edition 🤗

Again, I’m so grateful and proud of everyone who made these with me. Could not thank you all enough - congrats to all of us ❤️

Feeling so pumped and honoured that our music video, “One Time,” has just been nominated for “Best New Zealand Music Video” at New Zealand's Vision Feast Film Festival 2023!

The biggest thanks to our incredible cast and crew for producing such an amazing piece! And thanks again to the Deceptikonz for believing in us. So proud of us all 🤗

“Letters” made it into a festival! Yay! Our short film received an early selection for NZ Web Fest 2023! Feeling so grateful, over the moon and excited!

Can’t say this enough but I’m forever grateful for the two incredible humans, Sam Liew & Angela Seol, for being part of this and creating this film with me. So proud of the work you two have put into this 🤗 go team!
