Do you NPD stands for what?
You might have seen few of these petrol pumps in North Island and a lot more in South Island. However, you will not get the coffee & refreshments in North Island as most of them are unmanned however in South Island the scenario is different and they have a lot to offer.

Did you know that tailgating is illegal in New Zealand?
What do you think about drivers who tailgate when you’re already doing 100 km/h in a 100 zone, just so they can overtake and act like a superhero?

📍 Lake Rotoiti, Nelson Lakes National Park, New Zealand

On our way back to Christchurch from Motueka, Tasman we have visited this beautiful Lake Rotoiti.

A crystal-clear alpine lake surrounded by forested mountains, Lake Rotoiti is part of the Nelson Lakes National Park and feeds into the Buller River. It’s a popular spot for kayaking, boating, fishing, and scenic lakeside walks. On calm days, the lake perfectly reflects the surrounding peaks, making it a favourite for nature lovers and photographers alike.

📍 Mona Vale Garden Park, Christchurch, New Zealand

One of my personal favourites from when we used to live in Christchurch. I used to go to this park with my elder daughter almost every weekend, in all seasons. I feel this park is one of the best-maintained parks not only in the city, but across all of New Zealand. There is also a separate rose garden within the park, featuring some wonderful, colourful roses.

A serene green oasis in the heart of the city, Mona Vale is admired for its formal gardens, wide lawns, and the Avon River flowing gently through the park. Developed in the late 1800s, the historic Mona Vale Homestead is a fine example of Victorian-era architecture and reflects Christchurch’s early European settlement. Today, the park is a popular spot for relaxing walks, picnics, and quiet moments surrounded by heritage and nature.
