Every portrait serves as an insightful study of the human face and its intricate relationship with painting. In this oil painting, I delved into traditional techniques, utilizing a blend of Gamsol and my homemade sun-bleached linseed oil to create layered transparency. The varying drying times of different paint colors enabled me to develop a richer depth in the composition. I also added specific additives to expedite the drying process. Through this transformative experience, I expand my understanding of how different oil colors interact and evolve.
