Last nightโs result was tough to swallow. None of us have ever seen the All Blacks lose like that - especially not at home.
Itโs easy to start pointing fingers: this player, that coach, this decision. But before we do, credit where itโs due - South Africa delivered a second half of rugby that was as close to perfect as weโve ever witnessed in our gameโs history.
The All Blacks will bounce back, of that I have no doubt. But does something need to change? The backline looked out of sorts at times, but also had moments of good flow when under pressure, like the Leroy Carter try. But once again we saw too much aimless kicking from 10 leading directly to tries. The scrum being shoved backwards is a real concern, and the lineout was a mess for long stretches.
Can these issues really be fixed overnight? ๐ค
