Our first Candlelight Concert 🕯️✨

An evening filled with the timeless music of ABBA and Queen, surrounded by the warm glow of candlelight.

It was such a beautiful and magical experience — although I have to admit, staying quiet while hearing those iconic songs was a challenge. I spent the whole evening subtly moving my head and tapping my feet along to the music.

A night to remember.

Happy 3rd Wedding Anniversary to us, Lalabs!!! And Happy Daddy’s Day here in NZ! 🥳

I didn’t expect that we would both surprise each other with gifts today. I honestly never expected to receive a Mini Evo Polaroid. Ever since we were back in the Philippines, I would always walk past the store window, look at it, and tell myself, “One day, I’ll buy myself that.”

I’m such a practical person, and even when I can afford to buy something I want, I always end up disregarding my wants and telling myself, “I don’t really need it right now.” But my dearest husband has been quietly observing and listening all this time. He remembered something I wanted and bought it for me. It was so unexpected, especially because he always complains that he never knows what to give me on big occasions like this. But today was different. He really surprised me, and it meant so much.

I, on the other hand, gave him his very first Daddy Mug as a little symbol of his fatherhood. Last year, we celebrated Nico’s first Father’s Day with our angel baby in our hearts. 🕊️ This year, we get to celebrate with our little baby safely growing inside me, alive and kicking. 🤰🏻 What a beautiful and bittersweet feeling.

I also gave him a card…which is so me. I’m a girl who absolutely loves giving cards! And I got him a Prezzy Card too, so he can choose whatever he wants. I initially planned to give him a massage voucher, but I thought the Prezzy Card would be much nicer because he gets to decide what he really wants.

What a beautiful Sunday indeed.

Thank You, Lord, for the quiet, peaceful, and blessed days You continue to bestow upon us. Please continue to bless our marriage, strengthen our love, and keep our little unborn baby safe and healthy always. 🙏🏻

Happy anniversary to us, my Lalabs! Here’s to more years, more memories, more surprises, and hopefully… more little feet joining our family.

Definitely regretted wearing high heels 😅 We had such a hard time finding a parking spot and ended up parking further away from the event. My feet were NOT ready for that walk! 😂👠 🇳🇿🇵🇭

🇳🇿 Our little NZ journey so far…

📍 October 2023 — Arrived in NZ and started by renting a room in a house.

📍 August 2024 — Took the next step and moved into a studio unit.

📍 August 2026 — Now, almost 3 years later, we’re renting a whole house. 🏡

From one room, to a studio, to a whole house… all within just under 3 years. 🥹❤️ Looking back, it makes me so happy and grateful to see how far we’ve come.

Puhon-puhon, our own house na gyud dili na magrent. 🙏That’s the goal!
