🌊🎶 Māori Language Week @ Queen’s Wharf 🎶🌊
RepFM closes out an incredible week of Te Wiki o te Reo Māori celebrations with a powerful performance at the waterfront on Saturday 20th September.

✨ Our final featured artist is Hazaduz (Hoani) — DJ and entertainer from Whakatane, who performs alongside NZ music icon Che Fu with his band The Krates.

Over the past two years, Haz and his whānau have embraced a journey of cultural reclamation, enrolling in Te Reo Māori courses with Te Wānanga O Aotearoa.
In celebration of 50 years of Te Wiki o te Reo Māori, Hazaduz will perform original works specially adapted for this milestone event — bringing music, identity, and culture together.

RepFM continues the celebration of Te Wiki o te Reo Māori with powerful live performances all week long, Monday 15 – Saturday 20 September.

✨ On Friday 19th, we feature William Junior Wetere (Wilz aka Willis aka Wiremu) — born and raised in the 275, proudly shaped by the mighty Waikato and the Far North.

With over 40 years in the music industry, Wilz is recognised for his humble stage presence as a drummer and vocalist. Each performance carries the heartbeat of his iwi, honouring those who came before while inspiring those yet to come.

RepFM proudly continues our celebration of Te Wiki o te Reo Māori with another incredible te reo artist performing live at the waterfront from Monday 15 – Saturday 20 September.

✨ On Thursday 18th, we welcome Karleen Bidois — an international Māori singer with over 20 years of experience. Karleen is not only a powerful vocalist but also a composer of original waiata and a lyric translator for fellow artists.

A proud Māori woman, she has represented through kapa haka on regional and national stages, carrying her culture and voice to audiences across the globe.

RepFM continues to bring incredible te reo artists to the waterfront for Te Wiki o te Reo Māori — live every day from Monday 15 – Saturday 20 September.

✨ On Wednesday 17th, experience the soulful power of Madam Parker (Mads Parker) — a Māori singer, songwriter, and instrumentalist whose sultry sound weaves te reo and indigenous storytelling.

She has supported The Game, Boyz II Men, and Montell Jordan, and graced iconic stages from SOBS New York to the Sydney Opera House. Currently featured on Māori Television for her tributes to Mary J. Blige and Etta James, Madam Parker celebrates 50 years of Te Wiki o te Reo Māori with original waiata reo Māori — uplifting her hapori toi and inspiring audiences across the motu.

✨ On Tuesday 16th, catch Beau Monga — a professional musician and artist from Auckland, NZ. Known for his powerful mix of singing, rap, beatboxing, and live looping on the RC-505, Beau creates music from scratch using instruments and the human voice. He’s ready to bring energy and creativity to the waterfront.
