Well peeps what a week we've had. It's a long one so grab a coffee.
Last Monday off to Alex Warren only for it to be canceled. On way home had a niggly sore throat 👀
What came next was horrendous 😳
Tuesday full on sore throat, achey ears, i thought yay. By this time hubby had headache and was coughing like a hundred year old smoker. 😱
Wednesday I'm still pretty much the same, hubby now has the chills 🥶 and sweats 🥵 coming and going like a freight train. Body aches from head to toe 😫
Thursday/Friday I've now caught up to hubby I'm done for stayed in bed 🛌 surrounded by 3 of our cats 🐈 they slept pretty much all day, bless them. Was my turn with the sweats, chills and full on body aches. I'm used to having body aches daily but god dam they were brutal. Hubby eventually joined me and the kitties after being on farm. Then the race was on who had the biggest coughing fit, blew the most amount of boogas, sucked on the most amount of lozenges. He won naps 😴 cos i don't nap even when I'm sick no matter how hard I try. Ice blocks at 2 am was totally normal 🤣
Saturday early hours I woke to hubby putting a monitor on my finger to check my heart rate and blood oxygen levels before he went to milking. 🥰
When i woke later Saturday morning I woke to what felt like i was laying in a puddle (no i didn't wet myself 🤣) my hair was drenched, my clothes were wet, my pillow was wet, the sheets on top and beneath me were wet. The rest of that day was a blurr, pretty sure i was on my chair in the lounge for the day. I was starting to think I'm going to end up in an ambulance 🚑
Sunday, I was going to ask hubby to take me to the doctors i was giving in. I couldn't do it anymore. But when I woke up I thought cool I've turned a corner the body aches were gone, still had, the boogas, the cough and sore ears but felt marginally better. Did a grocery shop online to be delivered monday📆. I was excited for the delivery as Hubby spent the week basically on soup and me porridge, our son picked up takeaways too.
Monday - today still only marginally better but getting there. Today still have boogas 🤧 chills 🥶 and sweats 🥵 coughing, hacking, wheezing but we are getting there.
Pretty sure it was Influenza A and possibly covid together. We are both asthmatic so very lucky to have not landed ourselves in a luxury hospital 🏨 room together.
All i can say is i hope anyone who hasn't had it, doesn't get it, cos it is gnarly. Anyone who has and had it bad, i feel for you 🥰
