I started washing cars at 16, just a kid with a towel and a bucket, trying to make some extra cash.
By 18, I set up my first car wash at a local town center. Business was boomingâwe made $3k a week, and I was working nonstop, seven days a week.
Driven by ambition,
I expanded and opened a second location. But as quickly as things grew, I began to lose focus.
The workload became overwhelming, and I started escaping into the party scene.
Alcohol became my coping mechanism, and the business suffered.
Eventually, I sold it all at 21, thinking I just wanted freedom and fun.
I spent the next five years living like a ârockstarââskydiving, traveling, and working odd jobs. I chased adrenaline and the next high, convinced it would lead to happiness.
But eventually, I felt lost again, so I pursued a âproper careerâ and started training to become a paramedic.
I thought it would bring stability and purpose, but I quickly realized it wasnât for me.
So I returned to my roots and started a mobile car detailing business.
Things were great; I made over $100k in the first year. But just when life was looking up,
My Dad passed away.
That loss shook my world and made everything feel like it was crumbling, including the business.
I took some time to reset, moved back to my hometown in New Zealand, and started a new car detailing shop.
Now, weâre expecting to do over $250k in our first year.
Looking back, I realize thereâs no âone wayâ to success.
Everyoneâs journey is unique, filled with ups, downs, and unexpected turns.
Each struggle taught me something valuable, and every setback became a stepping stone.
