I used to ask God why. Why the pain, why the years I lost, why I had to walk through what I walked through. For a long time I couldn't see it as purpose β I just felt the weight of it.
But Esther's story keeps coming back to me. She didn't choose her position, her past, or the crisis she suddenly found herself standing in the middle of. She just had to decide whether she'd use where she was for something bigger than herself. "For such a time as this."
I think about that every time I look at my life now β as a mother, as a woman still healing, still becoming. Maybe I didn't survive just to make it out the other side. Maybe I made it out so I could stand exactly where I'm standing today, for someone who needs to see that it's possible to still be here, still be whole, still be moving forward.
I am a daughter of the Most High King. Not because of anything I earned or proved, but because He chose to call me His own. That truth alone changes how I carry my story now.
You don't have to feel royal to be positioned. Your story, your survival, the fact that you're still here β it might be exactly why you're standing where you are right now.
"And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?" β Esther 4:14 (NIV)
You weren't just spared. You were positioned. Daughter of the King. π
