Has anyone in my friends had a grant for starting up your carving business.
If so Im wanting an in depth list of all the machinery, items I will need. all the little things aswel like string ect so I can make a general quote up.
Just abit overwhelmed with it it so thinking there will be heaps of things il miss that I should put on the list.

My finest work too date.
Traditional methods marutea pakohe (argillite) adze following the ways of my ancestors.
Flaked an dressed with garnet then hand ground with sandstone (hoanga)
I can't remember how many hours but it was alot of hard work over a number of weeks. Next time il keep track though.

Just finished this Pakohe uri uri hei tiki with a matte finish, this was carved out of a single pebble from Whakatu Nelson, I've tried keeping the natural shape as much as possible and kept a small area on the bottom natural to show how one transforms itself from the ground up.
