Without revealing too much on location here is our journey returning taonga pakohe too one of the oldest maori quarry sites in nz dating back 800years. Thanks too my brother Rah Bunn for joining the hikoi. From hawkes bay too the the tasman/Marlborough hills its been a journey. The site is where they made toki/adze and various tools that was extensively traded throughout nz before the pounamu era and begining from the moa hunters era. Honestly a surreal place too be and trying to imagine the journey and hardships they must of faced to get there and connecting our own whakapapa was amazing. Felt like a kid in like a big playground. Man made lake thats overgrown, rock shelter, ancient maori trails, carved out serpentine veins and just a massive work area. These areas are a strict no take policy. If you want to enjoy places like this please keep it that way.

800years of history in one bag, about to head home too its rightfull place ✨️
These items were seized by iwi and collected by me on ngati kuias behalf. Seen these at local market being sold and instantly recognized what they were and importantly where they come from. Alot of little lies were uncovered but you cant fool me, the pakohe kaitiakis and leading archeologists in there field. Today marks there journey home, and important piece of nz history returning to the oldest maori quarry site in nz!!. This is why I do what I do. Will keep yas updated!
