Our new exhibition space, Pulotu Studio, came alive last night.

The room was full of talanoa, laughter, bold colours, and unapologetically Tongan creativity as the Selekā International Art Society Initiative wrapped up their 10-day residency with a one-night-only exhibition Tākanga ā€˜emau fohe.
Artists TeĢ„vita Mameivai LaĢ„tuĢ„ , Aho Yasmin, Taniela Petelo , and Alokoulu Ulukivaiola brought new work to life right here in Old Papatoetoe, created alongside local artists, rangatahi, and featuring contributions from Tongan school kids who took part in Selekā-led workshops.

It wasn’t just an exhibition. It was a reminder of the power of collective storytelling and cultural exchange.
