The Nocrastinator

Sorry I haven't written for a while. I've been in a haze of pain for ovef a fortnight following my breast cancer surgery. Nerves were damaged during surgery, and the pain has been excruciating. I now have new drugs, a new dosage of old drugs (3 tablets 3 x a day NOT 1 tablet 2 x a day!!!), and know I need to be on them for three months, not two weeks. Nerves ... heal ... very ... slowly.

I'm not yet entirely pain free, but enough that I can function again!!! So, I've been able to spend the evening costuming and now have a completed hat for Saturday night of the Costumiers' NZ "Costumiers Fantasy Masquerade Ball weekend". Masks are a pain in the butt for those of us with glasses, so I will have shrubbery instead. Still have domes/buttons to do on the shirt, but I can do those at the hotel as I'm heading to Rotorua tomorrow.

And so the long journey home for chop chop on D-Day begins.
I really can't fault BNE Airport. The last two trips over, from plane landing to walking out the front door: 25 mins and 23 mins. Today from drop off (thank you Suzanne 🥰) to Gate ... 20 mins. It took me longer to find a power point than it did to bag drop and clear customs. They probably need a few more of those before the Olympics!
Don't really want to board this flight but ... one of life's little surprises. And, I guess, given the family history, not really a surprise - more like, my turn 🤣
