Rob Bialostocki Stories, insights and ideas for living a life that matters and growing wiser in the process. Hi there.

My name is Rob and I write and broadcast stories, insights and ideas to help people live a life that matters, and grow wiser. Over the years I've been a professional radio announcer (10 years), a special projects director (5 years), and a learning & development specialist (25 years). I love psychology, practical philosophy, and learning about life, our world, and humanity. I have a Diploma of Teac

hing, a Bachelor of Science degree, and a Graduate Diploma in Psychology. Very happy for you to get in touch - send me a message or email.

There's a stretch of years Rob describes as relentless — his faith unravelling after three decades, a marriage ending after 29 years, his daughter telling him she was pregnant and going it alone, and someone he'd just fallen for being diagnosed with breast cancer four weeks later. All at once.

In this episode of Wiser, Rob doesn't offer a tidy formula for getting through hard times — he's upfront that some things leave a mark and don't resolve into a neat lesson.

Instead, he talks through what genuinely helped: not lumping every problem into one overwhelming mess, being honest instead of pretending he was fine, putting his energy only where he actually had influence, and letting a handful of trusted people see the real version of what was happening.

If you're in the middle of your own hard stretch right now, this one's for you.

Growing into your 50s and 60s requires us to review our travel luggage and make necessary changes.

This article looks at why that's important.

Your twenties priorities probably don't match what matters to you now—and that's perfectly normal. As we move through our 50s and 60s, not only do our values shift toward fulfillment and meaningful relationships, but fewer things demand our attention overall. It's about focusing your energy on wha...

I share my own stories, insights and practical steps in today podcast episode.

Where true power really lies - and it's not with us despite all of our domination, inventions and god-like thinking. Thank goodness!
