💥 Current situation - Geoff Tonkin Excavation Ltd is back on Tuesday to dig a bit more so that the plumber can fix cracked septic and storm water pipes before we pour the concrete get poured potentially on Friday!

Last thing we want is a suprise in the future 💩 😆

First RENO begins TOMORROW… the GARAGE!

But before then it’s time to remove part of the fence for Geoff Tonkin Excavation Ltd to bring the digger in, empty the existing garage and set up temporary fencing!

🏡 We took possssion of the Great Dane on the 11th March and shifted into the house in on 6th April after being empty and not lived in for two years.

In the last 6mths we have tidied up the property and have some before and after photos in preparation for the first major renovation - the demolition of the old garage and erected of the new triple garage, establishing the new main entrance and boundary fencing.

🤔 Ok - so to give you some perspective, photo one is a Birds Eye view of our current small double garage. We are going to extend to the right removing our second entrance gate and small retangle garden to make this a three car garage. This requires lifting the garage by 1 m to allow space to put in garage doors. Beautiful wooden steps with lighgs in them will run from the garage’s side door up towards the front entrance. This entrance will be only used by those who access via the garage.

👏 Our main entrance will be from the corner of the property (second photo) which is currently seldom used. Our thoughts is to widen this gate/entrance, have two brick pillars and a beautiful wrought iron black gate to welcome visitors…..

🙌 What a find!

Dylan (my Husband) came across this second hand cedar door off marketplace that we can use for our side garage door!

We had a joiner come and pick up this beast today to have matte black aluminium framework built around it so it can be installed once the garage commences the building phase (6 working days into a potential 28 day wait for a building consent)!!!

🪏 The excavator man also has been around to take a look at what needs done to remove parts of the old small double garage to then build the new triple garage….

👊 Slowly things are taking shape …
