Story time. So I'm selling our family van on market place and get an enquiry about wanting a full car report I provide one via car jam (NZ site) however this woman lets call her Mackenzie Cichy is persistent for me to get a report from this website called autoschecks.com. I already paid $13 for a report and this site chargers $55. She was pushing me to buy the report even though I had already paid for one explaining that this is the only report her mechanic uses. So as a website builder I checked the site seemed okay it was on Google so nothing out of the ordinary. As a first timer anyone would have fallen into this trap. But upon checking other details e g footer links as clicking on links they didn't work only the payment collection page I knew this was a SCAM other things gave it away use of language messaging me from bro to sir. In the end Mackenzie gave up I thanked her and advised that if your going to scam someone do it right.
