Afternoon walk at BLF where we walked for a while with Odi, the 6 month old Irish Setter and her human. The Checkers dogs were on their best behaviour with this young pup, but they had zoomies later when we were in a quieter part of the forest. Murphy and Bruno stole the same pinecone off each other at least 6 times.

Morning walk at the Spencerville end of BLF. Today I was verbally abused by a particularly unfriendly person who — despite the fact neither I nor any of the dogs went anywhere near him — seemed pretty upset that a woman (he was quite specific here) would dare walk dogs in a forest. Hi all, it’s that season again when grass seeds become an unwanted hitchhiker on our furry-footed friends. I do a quick check of feet & ears after walks, but I highly recommend you keep a close eye out for seeds, especially on feet, each day. Even more so if your dog has a fine, fluffy, or long coat.

There are locations I will avoid for the next couple of months due to the prevalence of grass seeds and biddy bids.
