Nelson’s Kūmānu Environmental has won the Special Award at the 2025 Landscapes of Distinction Awards for Te Pā Harakeke - a stunning fusion of wetland restoration and natural play.

Judges called it “a prime example” of integrating stormwater management, tidal flows and creative community space. Built through Covid, flood conditions and complex consents – and still delivered under budget.
