This year's National Songwriting Competition saw a record-breaking 478 entries, almost 100 more than 2024. Our wonderful panel of judges have been busy listening to all of the songs, and deliberating on which student should take out first place.

While we eagerly await the results, Mike shares his thoughts about this complex process and how its changed since Play It Strange's inception more than 20 years ago.
