I'm baaackkk! So, you haven't heard from me in a while. Here's why. In 2024, my company was privately contracted by a First Nation Community in Northern Ontario to produce and edit residential school survivor testimonial videos. These videos are privately held by that community. I am truly grateful for being asked to work with them to help preserve the stories of residential school survivors.
2025 was just different. Life calls you to do things and to care for others and ourselves sometimes. I took a few short months away from everything in early 2025. Then family and friends needed me. I was called to assist with serious situations and I listened to those calls. Then in late June 2025, my beautiful husky, Blue (a 75-pound sled dog) got excited and pulled me over two landings and down a set of stairs. OUCH! I spent the rest of 2025 nursing 4 broken ribs, a wrecked knee, arm and shoulder. Life was telling me to slow down, whether I wanted to or not.
I am MUCH better now. Ribs healed really well. Knee will never be the same but it's still functional and I am walking Blue multiple times a day once again. My arm and my shoulder are ALMOST there! Woo hoo! Just about a week ago, I began to have conversations with an Early Childhood Educator who aspired to produced YouTube content for preschool and kindergarten age children. I had never editing any content for young children, but I am very tenacious and was very excited about trying my hand at editing this genre of content.
