Value yourself and your purpose!

Pink Shirt Day is all about a unified stance against bullying, and celebrating diversity, kindness, and inclusivity.

And me being me, I thought I'd throw a brand twist on things 😉

There is one common factor between a business doing ok, and a business smashing it out of the park!

That is the value we place on ourselves!

Business owners who value themselves, and their purpose, and have confidence in their ability tend to outshine business owners who have a lower valuation of themselves or are just too goddamn modest.

The stupid fact is that these modest people, are normally more talented than the look-at-me's of the world and they don't get the true credit they deserve.

Today is a day to value everyone, support the people around you and celebrate kindness.

But do not forget to value yourself. You as a person, the business you are building and the life you are living.

Have a great Friday everyone 💖

My first ever Ramadan complete! ✅

Here’s what I have learnt…

1. Getting up at 4am is easy - when you make it a habit.

2. The first 4 hours of my day will forever me dedicated to self-development and planning.

3. Give yourself time to reflect and appreciate.

4. I’m useless come 3pm

5. I can now Power Nap! 20 mins MAX.

6. Life slows down when you start early.

7. If you set a goal you can create the habit.

8. I miss afternoon coffees.

9. Remaining patient in uncomfortable times is a skill we should all have. (I didn’t)

10. Side goal. I lost 6kg!

There’s definitely been ups and downs over the last 30 days. It’s been quite the journey.

My advice.

If you’re trying to create a new habit or you have a goal in business, give yourself 30 days.

Get up early before the client emails and calls, dedicate a couple of hours a day and chip away.

In 30 days you will have achieved more than just the one thing you set out to do.

Have a great day everyone. I’m going to enjoy my first afternoon coffee 😉☕️

Do you want BIG ATTRACTION?

Here’s how to go big BIG 👇

Big attraction comes at a cost, if you are looking for immediate ROI then this might not be for you.

3 things to remember

1. Have a clear, measurable goal
2. It’s not a one hit wonder
3. Create experiences that allow people to understand your brand.

-

Here’s 5 attraction methods used by multi-million dollar brands.

1. Become a the resource for anyone looking at your industry.

2. Become affiliated with charities. Block out 2 slots per quarter to collab and support.

3. Host events. Thought-leader events, industry pow-wows, charity galas, collabs with leaders etc…

4. Create pathways for the next generation to step in the industry.

5. Become a sponsor. Make sure it aligns with your brand and your purpose.

-

As a whole there is a lot of time and investment needed to achieve massive attraction.

And sales will not magically come flooding in (they might).

Your goal is to attract. With every step you take you shape the perception in the people’s minds of your brand.

So have a goal, be consistent and go out and attract!

What happens if you JUST hunt? 🏹

A lot of hard work, with little return.

When businesses hunt without a strong brand presence common problems arise👇

1. Takes a long time to close a deal

2. Salespeople always have to reintroduce themselves

3. Your sales process is looooong

4. The hunting process chews up time and resources

5. Your conversion rate is low

6. You chase volume “because it’s a numbers game”

In my experience businesses with poor brand representation invest too much time and energy in the hunt.

The problem is when your prey (client) do their due diligence and find nothing of value for them, they run.

Like a deer sipping at a croc infested watering hole.

We all know, we have to hunt. Super important part of business.

BUT WE ALSO HAVE TO ATTRACT!

In the wild this is called Aggressive Mimicry. Hunters that attract their prey.

Attraction increases the chances of success.

Tomorrow = attraction tactics you can implement into your business straight away 👍

Finally, a clear definition...

Businesses hunt.

Brands attract.

Brands are constructed in a highly strategic way to ensure they have a deep-rooted connection with their customers.

They become so aligned with their customers that competitors don’t even get a look in.

Businesses constantly hunt for new customers or bend over backwards retaining existing ones. This can add so much pressure on a business and its people.

Here are 4 things you can do right now to start the transformation from business to brand.

1. Develop your brand story
When you have it communicate it in a million different ways
👉 Long-form video content
👉 Short content snippets
👉 Conversational content
👉 Brand scripts for salespeople
👉 Brand awareness campaigns
👉 Graphics and quotes
👉 Website messaging
👉 Publications

2. Create client stories
Show the work that you are the proven solution. Structure your stories so others can vicariously live and experience your brand through the eyes of your customers.

3. Let people experience your brand
Have an event or just after-work drinks. Bring people into your space and strategically build experiences that will allow them to understand your purpose on a more intimate stage.

4. Collaborate
Find ways to collaborate with people who share the same purpose. Do a podcast, host an event - whatever it is, just add value and communicate brand alignment.

There’s no doubt that this year will be quite turbulent and amongst the chaos it’s hard to see a clear path.

Watch what the bigger brands do, learn from their strategies, and ask yourself one question…

Do I want to hunt or attract?

Businesses will die and brands will survive.

Become the brand your customers want and you will scale through the chaos.
