World FM - Mārahau, Stoke & Tawa

Our electricity lines company, Network Tasman Ltd, is planning to turn off the power in our area for routine maintenance work between 09:30 AM Tuesday 28 November 2023 and 04:30 PM Tuesday 28 November 2023 (NZ Daylight Time). If work can’t be completed on this date, the alternative date will be Wednesday 29 November 2023.

During that time our website & audio streaming will be off-line. Our Marahau transmitter will also be off-air. Transmissions in Stoke & Tawa will continue as normal.

We apologise for the inconvenience.

Start Date / Time = 03 Aug 2023 @ 9:30 AM

Finish Date / Time = 03 Aug 2023 @ 3:30 PM

During this time our website and streaming will be offline and our Marahau FM transmitter will be off-air.

FM transmissions in Stoke & Tawa will continue as normal.

If bad weather prevents the work the backup day is Friday.

If you are having problems receiving our signal in Tawa at the moment here is why. Due to the Welly Winds we've become Jungle FM.... That's our antenna sideways in the trees....

The transmitter PC in Tawa has now been replaced and we are back on-air on 88.2 MHz in the Tawa area. Blame the local rats chewing on cables for our outage!

Our Tawa FM transmitter on 88.2 MHz is currently off-air due to a computer failure. If you are in our Tawa listening area you can listen online at http://worldfm.radio/listen until we replace the faulty system. Transmission continues as normal on FM in Marahau & Stoke, and on our internet streams.
