Greenstone TV Celebrating 30 years of creating screen stories from and about Aotearoa New Zealand, shared worldwide. Creativity is at the heart of everything we do.

We develop new shows and work with the networks to deliver outstanding multiple-genre entertainment to television audiences around the world. For over 20 years we’ve created characters, documented histories, and captured real-life stories – around 100 documentaries in total, and more than 100 series. We’ve won numerous awards, made millions of people laugh, and cry -and have achieved great ratings

at the same time. Greenstone is part of the CJZ Group (Sydney-based Cordell Jigsaw Zapruder); the largest independent producer of content in Australasia. CJZ’s signature programmes include The Gruen franchise, Bondi Rescue, and Go Back to Where You Came From.

It is with huge sadness that Greenstone acknowledges the passing of iconic screen legend Andrew Shaw. Many of us had the luck to work with Andrew in more than one capacity over his long career. He was deeply loyal to his friends, always kind, always hugely funny. His quotes were legendary, his witticisms bore many retellings. As a life-long advocate for creativity on screen he was generous, charming and always bloody stylish. When discussing the television industry he was fond of misquoting Hunter S Thompson: “a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs.” Bucking the norm to the last, Andrew didn’t die like a dog: he died like a zen master and his legacy will live on. We’ll miss him terribly.
