Issue 11: Hanga/Craft - Submissions open!

Anybody else getting tired of all these robots? As so much of our lives get transferred over to our phones, and major businesses encourage the responsibilities of decision making and action-taking should be performed by algorithms, young people are increasingly turning to physical media as a way to escape AI slop.

We want to hear about the ways you express yourself, explore hobbies, make things, and enjoy life through physical media and handmade creations. Think about fashion and style curation in Tāmaki Makaurau (style issue fans, this one's for you), collections you’ve been building since childhood or just started, short films your friends are making - anything to do with arts, crafts, creation, and curation.

Pitches are due on the 8th of September.
Pieces are due on the 15th of September.

Submissions are open for Issue Ten: Pūrakaū/Mythology!

Let’s be honest, there isn’t much good to turn to in reality right now. If we look at the stories, narratives, and legends passed down between generations, we can understand the ways that mythology has shaped - and accidentally foretold - our modern world.

Think along the lines of:

- Neighbourhood ghost stories whispered throughout Tāmaki Makaurau
‘- Percy Jackson’ should be adapted as a stage musical, and here’s why
- How Creepypasta never dies
- Cryptids of AUT
- Mythology passed down through your whanau
- That one time you realised you came from a prolific ghost town
- How Cartoon Saloon captured Irish legends

Pitches are due on Monday, the 25th of August.
Pieces are due on Monday, the 1st of September.
If there are any delays or caveats just let us know!!
