Amazing ❤️

We’re so pleased to share some wonderful news.
Thanks to a new partnership with MIT, we are now able to offer free counselling sessions to bereaved parents in our community.

We know how hard it can be to access counselling—waitlists are long, and private sessions can be out of reach for many. This means that far too often, families go without the emotional support they so desperately need after the loss of their precious baby. All to often when families collect their memories from here, I hear the same story - they are in need of extra support but cannot afford it.

These free sessions will be delivered by Robyn, a third-year counselling student from MIT as part of her final placement. All students are in their final year of study and are supported by qualified, experienced supervisors to ensure families receive safe, compassionate care.

Whether your loss was recent or many years ago, you deserve the space to grieve, process, and be heard—with care, understanding, and no financial barrier.

We are incredibly grateful to MIT and to our wonderful counsellor Robyn who will be working with our families for her final paper. Her introduction is attached.

Referrals for this service will be managed through Baby Loss NZ.
If you are interested and would like to be referred, please get in touch with us directly. ❤️

There's a documentary on the TVNZ+ app called 'Misconceptions: First Trimester Miscarriages' so we wanted to share this with our bereaved community 💜 It provides a deep look into the complexities, myths, and insight of miscarriages to help people feel they are not alone in dealing with a tragic life event. With interviews from well-known New Zealanders such as Miriama Kamo, Kaiora Tipene and Stacey Morrison as well as others who have experienced this heartbreaking loss.
