My name is Tina Mills. I'm a longarm machine quilter, based in Heretaunga, Upper Hutt, 5 minutes from the Silverstream traffic lights on SH2. I use a Nolting 24 pro longarm quilting machine, with Coats Dual Duty thread. I have a large selection of digital pantograph designs to choose from. I can baste your quilts ready for handquilitng or machine quilting at home. I have 2 battings in stock. Wool/

cotton mix and polyester. I can attach your prepared bindings onto your quilt using my Nolting 24 pro.

A quick tension test using a small strip of fabric on the side of each quilt helps to the digital quilting process.

I say a prayer of protection over each quilt, for my lovely customers and recipient of the completed quilt, so that each person is surrounded in love and comfort whatever their journey may be 🙏

I’m binding my customers quilt for her tonight!

I offer quilt binding services too.

This is helpful if you don’t have the space to manoeuvre the weight of a quilters quilt around

DM me if you need help with this final task and let’s get these quilts finished and ready to use 🫶🏼

Do you find inspiration for colours in the most ordinary things?

My favourite breakfast that I haven’t had in a while. So simple and fresh. I like this colour combo for a quilt block.

My bathroom slatted blinds are old and breaking. I need new ones! I love the bamboo but they’re not meant to be great in moisture prone areas. Kitchen ones need replacing too, but which one do I choose 🤷🏻‍♀️
This is why I love scrappy quilts! So many colours work together perfectly but window treatments? Gotta choose one 😭

Last night I made a trip around the world quilt block. I’ve always wanted to make one. So easy… should I make more?? Yes or no?

Thanks to for the hot tip of hanging parts of the block off the edge of the ironing board. Huge game changer!

Oh my goodness you guys!!!

Do you realise how *tricky* it is to trim a quilt and keep a 1/4” allowance so I don’t end up chopping off tiny little triangle points when I go to sew the binding on???? 😬

Now I need to decide on the actual binding without going shopping!

What do you think? Black, blue, white, or completely scrappy?

Help me! I can’t decide 🤷🏻‍♀️

Stopped to grab these pictures 📸 of Wellington and the harbour today as I drove 🚗 around the eastern bays to Eastbourne to have lunch with a quilty friend at Hive cafe in the village.

I came home with 2 quilt tops to longarm quilt for her too. It was fun planning what pantographs designs to stitch out on each of the quilts over lunch.

Felt like an important business meeting 😉 except we had tea instead of wine 🤩

Tell me what is your favourite dish is when you go out for lunch??

I’m jumping on this peggy square knitting for while sitting in this late autumn sunshine.

Are you Peggy square knitting for premmie’s too?
All the info is on their bio on their Instagram page…

I found some wool yarn in my cupboard from when my children were little when I was planning on knitting them something but I never finished it so I’m going to use that for my peggy squares
