I just realized how this AI thing makes Valentine's Day 💌 much easier for those with hundreds of admirers but can't reciprocate.
As for me I don't think I've had a Valentine's card since I was eight.

I'm sad that this is my first Yuletide & New Year without any grandparents to call or spend time with.
It was never a chore. I loved our chats, when you emigrate you leave family behind, & you grieve them.
In Grandma's lifetime - & the time since I left UK - the ability to communicate globally has become taken for granted. We wrote letters at first. It might be months to get the response.
So I found the phone calls to be like a 'hit' of a tonic. They always left me with a smile on my face & hopeful optimism in my heart.
Now there's no more Xmas & birthday treats. No more Christmas day phone calls.
I would despair at this if it weren't for my amazing friends - & now I turn my own eyes towards my new Family - the one that has chosen me - I have chosen to be part of.
I guess it's a watershed in a man's life when we realize that we are now the "Elder." I'm not the one who will make calls this year - but I'm hopeful that instead, I shall be the grateful recipient of a few.

I lost the woman who sparked in me a love of Music & Magic. She showed me the Super-Power that is the Gratitude - Joy 'transmutation.'
Her tool of trade wasn't the guitar, accordion or keyboard/piano [or host of others]; nor was it her voice, but her ever present Joyfulness, which she deployed like a master til the very end.
