We are joined by the Christchurch based singer-songwriter Sarena Close (aka Mousey). Mousey’s critically acclaimed debut album Lemon Law (2019) and her follow-up album My Friends (2022) established her as a significant voice in the New Zealand music scene. With a penchant for honest storytelling and evocative melodies, Mousey's music is known for its emotive and introspective nature. Earlier this year Mousey released her third album, titled ‘The Dreams of Our Mothers’ Mothers!’, about which we will be chatting!

In the 35th Episode of the Arts in Aotearoa podcast we are joined by Wellington based singer songwriter Rose Lubransky Music. In this episode we discuss Rose’s deep love of music and live performance, her favourite love songs and her favourite hate songs. We sat down for a discussion about the impact of insomnia on his creative process, ambient music, Sparklehorse, poetry, and, ironically, why talking about music can be counter intuitive. Harris also plays live acoustic versions of his songs.
