🏳️‍🌈PRIDE MONTH: Saint Sebastian and his arrows.
Seb was an early Christian saint and martyr, but over the years has become adopted as a figure in the LGBTQ community.

In art history he was depicted as a symbol of ho******ic desire and male beauty while some drew on the shame, rejection and loneliness they experienced within society to Sebastian’s experiences of persecution. Since the AIDS epidemic some people have also found relevance in his image and used him in their work.
