Sigil Sound is a group of audiomancers who aim to bridge the gaps between the nightclub, the ether, and the laboratory.

THE SUMMONING II - LINEUP SHOWCASE - THE OPENING ACTS

1. Integument is a project based around no input mixing and hardware manipulation, as a result of partners Matt and Sophie’s experimentation and musing. As an exploration beyond traditional means of components, Integument seeks to present the broad capabilities by routing gear unto itself, using feedback as a desired trait and finding freedom in the unpredictable nature and technicality of no input mixing.

2. Scarlett's live production enchants and astonishes, with lush ambient arrangements filled with flurries of garage, jungle and drum and bass, traversing from notes of sorrow and loneliness to crescendos of joy and amazement. A visionary young producer who takes inspiration from a myriad of threads within electronic music and from them weaves a tapestry of sonic intent.

Kia ora koutou, an important announcement - The Summoning II will be Sigil's last show we put on in Te-Whanganui-A-Tara.

We've had an incredible year putting on shows together. We've been blessed to be able to platform some awesome local talent, and we are forever grateful for your trust in us as we cultivated themed spaces where you can express yourself queerly and freely.

It's now time for each of us to rest and consider our individual ambitions for the future.

It's never over between us and music, and you can rest assured we will be putting on more shows, but this current phase - Sigil Sound, has entered a new stage of indefinite dormancy. The oracles cannot say when a revival may occur.
