Nixon Street Recordings Recording studio and indie label located in Whanganui, owned and operated by Producer Brian Baker. We have a smoke, v**e, alcohol and drug free policy.

People ask about our recording studio rates and what's included so here it is straight out! We charge out at $800 per day for the basic rate. 10am - 6pm That covers the studio, Brian Baker as producer and engineer and any playing he does - He can play bass, acoustic, electric guitars,
keyboards - synths and piano, and do vocals, vocal arrangements and string arrangements, and drum programming too!

Client is supplied a mixed and mastered copy of their song on MP3 and as a WAV file
that's ready to go on a CD or be uploaded to Spotify etc.... You can be confident that all your bases are covered at no extra cost. We can usually get a song finished in a day depending on what's involved but generally can at least supply a very good demo after a days work. If there are tweaks or additional recording or mixing to be done after that it might be extra but if it's minimal we usually don't charge. Check the website for extras like Plant based catering options, meditation sessions, drum tech, drum hire and session fees. Or just get in touch and we can have a chat!

Couple of ripper shows over this weekend, I reckon we did ok! First at Beer and Loathing in Whangārei,(great, kick arse bar in the middle of town!), then Music In Parks at Snells Beach. Had a few mates drop by to check us out, this reprobate in particular! Couldn’t resist getting a picture of us hanging out backstage… with Mr Eddie Rayner!!
