In a recent interview with Real America’s Voice, Kasim Khan, the younger son of former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan, spoke out about his father’s imprisonment in Adiala Jail, where he has been held since August 2023. Kasim highlighted the harsh conditions his father faces, including prolonged solitary confinement in a “death cell,” limited access to family, lawyers, and medical care, and alleged inhumane treatment. He emphasized that Imran Khan is detained on politically motivated charges, including a £190 million corruption case and accusations under the Anti-Terrorism Act related to May 2023 protests. Kasim, who clarified he has no political ambitions, expressed frustration over the lack of progress through legal and diplomatic channels, urging international pressure to secure his father’s release and restore democracy in Pakistan. He also referenced an assassination attempt on his father and alleged election rigging, accusing the Pakistani military of orchestrating a “façade” to install the current government. The interview follows Kasim and his brother Sulaiman’s meeting with Trump aide Richard Grenell in California, signaling their ongoing campaign to garner global support, particularly from influential figures like U.S. President Donald Trump. Kasim’s emotional appeal underscored his father’s sacrifices for Pakistan, noting Imran’s choice to remain in jail rather than accept a comfortable life abroad.
