Here's a really pretty 1806 United States "half cent" I recovered metal detecting an old stage coach road. It was found in an area with no trees and beautiful white sugar sand. This is why the surfaces remain in such good condition after being in the ground for probably over 200 years. I love that the hairlines are still visible as well as the words "LIBERTY" above the bust.
