Early childhood learning is very important to a child’s educational development and preparatory stage before your child enters into a primary school after completing either preschool, pre-kindergarten, day-care, nursery school or early childhood.
According to Education department, “This early childhood education policy is and must be a reality for PNG to build the foundation now for a better educated future.”
Kindergarten 1 – Age 4
Kindergarten 2 – Age 5
Preparatory (Prep) – Age 6
Grade 1 and 2 Primary school - Ages 7 – 8 (depending on cognitive ability)
