Students from HATI (Highlands Agriculture Training Institute) having a session with SMU Director Enoch Yabimo to learn about SMU concept at the EHPDALF conference room today.
The students have a keen interest and have been participating well in questions and discussions with the director.
The students are with the Provincial Division of Agriculture Livestock and Fisheries (EHPDALF) for their industrial training and are being given a session today with SMU director to learn about SMU, Korea and the SMU Concept of Village Development.

Auk Village in Simbu taking on SMU Concept of Village Self-help development.

Fagonofi SMU Village Hatchery project was inpected by PNG SMU Director Mr. Enoch Yabimo this Sunday in the Pilot Project village of Fagonofi in Henganofi district.
Fagonofi Village was a Self-help village initiating the Saemaul Undong concept of development in 2018 as a Self-help village participating under the concept and was recently in 2024 selected for pilot projects.
The poultry Hatchery project was funded by Korea SMU Center as one of the two project funded for that year. Solar street lighting was the other one.
Now this SMU Village is enjoying eggs as for and generate their village income from it. An egg goes for K1.00 each, and a, K12.00.
The SMU Director and the project office visited this village on Sunday and were pleased with the village for setting up such a well serving project that serve the community by increasing food source and generation of income.
