They did more, they shaped hearts, healed souls, and told the stories of PNG through music

Each one of them played a part in developing this country, not through politics or power, but through the melodies that spoke to our lives, our struggles, our marriages, our relationships, and our everyday realities.

1. We lost B-Rad: a gifted singer, songwriter, producer, and composer.💔

2. Nates Dee followed, the founder of Wanbel Sounds Production, a true artist, songwriter, composer, and one of PNG’s creative pillars.💔

3. Lister Serum, the people’s legend who sang truth to power, life, and the voice of ordinary citizens. A real voice of the streets.💔

4. Daniel Bilip, great singer, songwriter, producer, and composer. A man whose voice touched hearts and whose lyrics spoke to the real life of our people. 💔

They may be gone from this world, but their songs remain forever echoing in our hearts and in the history of PNG’s music. 🇵🇬

“Dead” Man Found Alive After Retaliation Killing in Duke of York Islands

Kokopo, East New Britain – October 9, 2025:
A shocking turn of events has unfolded in the Duke of York Islands after a man believed to have been killed in a retaliation attack was later found alive.

According to Ward Member Goliath Robin Simeth (Jnr), the incident began when Boskey Valaun, 40, allegedly attacked and killed 18-year-old Jeremiah Laen from Kabilomo Village while Laen and his friends were on their way to collect green coconuts (kulau).

In response, angry villagers retaliated later that evening, allegedly killing Valaun around 7 pm, bringing the initial death toll to two.

However, in an unexpected twist, Ward Member Simeth confirmed yesterday that Valaun was later discovered alive despite sustaining multiple deep wounds and the loss of his right arm.

> “It’s something none of us can explain. We all saw his body — yet he was found breathing again,” Simeth said.

Police later detained Valaun and transported him to Kokopo Hospital, where he is receiving medical treatment. The body of young Jeremiah Laen remains at the Nonga Hospital morgue.

Ward Member Simeth also revealed that Valaun had recently returned to the island after spending much of his life in Port Moresby and that he was mentally unstable prior to the incident.

Police have since launched an investigation to determine the full circumstances surrounding the killing and the alleged revival of the suspect.

Big Lee is just a proud Papua New Guinean and a real patriot doing the right and just thing to speak up against all the bad things that are happening in Papua New Guinea. He is speaking up against the Prime Minister and many other corrupt politicians as well as bad government decisions that are affecting our country.

He explains and puts many things into perspective so many Papua New Guineans can understand what is going on in this country, especially the things that are affecting or will affect our country and our shared future.

Most importantly, he is not even paid to do this job.There is also a great risk when someone speaks up against corruption, bad government decisions, or even against corrupt politicians. Big Lee and others like him know these risks, but they just speak up anyway for the love of our country. These people need nothing but ultimate respect. They are doing something many Papua New Guineans can not do because of fear or because they are corrupt just like our politicians or simply because of ignorance.

The fight against corruption must be everyone's business. Each and everyone must do whatever they can wherever they are to make sure corruption ends during our lifetime. The important battle for the next 50 years must be against CORRUPTION! And we must do our bit just like Big Lee and others are doing.

Brave Amputee, Morgan Pais, Takes On Security Role Against All Odds

In PNG, security officers are expected to be fit, healthy, and tough to do the job. They carry out daily routines, keep records, monitor properties, and must be ready to defend them — often on long 12-hour shifts.

That is why Morgan Pais’s story is different. Despite being an amputee, he has bravely stepped into a role that many of us with full strength often give excuses to avoid. His courage is a strong reminder that there’s no reason to be lazy or turn to crime when honest work is available.

Credit goes to the recruiting team, the managers and supervisors, and most importantly, the security firm that gave him this chance. They have shown that giving someone an opportunity can change lives and set an example for others.

If Morgan can rise above his challenge, then we, too, must rise above our excuses.
