Consultation Awareness on the new Motu Koita Electorate Seat 2027

The Department of Provincial and Local Level Government Affairs will be conducting a Consultation Awareness on the new Motu Koita Electorate Seat 2027.

The Department has been working with key Government Agencies to ensure the appropriate governance, administrative, financial and legal frameworks are developed in preparation for the new Seat.

The constituents of Motu Koita will be the key stakeholders directly impacted with the change therefore the Department intends to conduct consultations in all Motu Koita villages to gauge the views, suggestions and recommendations with respect to the shape and form of the new Motu Koita Electorate.

The dates for Consultations in each village are as follows:

Wednesday 29th October 2025

1. Vabukori Village - 10am

2. Korobosea and Mahuru - 2pm

Thursday 30th October 2025

1. Pari Taoata and Pari Taurama - 10am

2. Kirakira village - 2pm

Friday 31st October 2025

1. Tatana & Araira - 10am

2. Baruni Village - 2pm

Monday 3rd November 2025

1. Elevala Laurabada and Elevala Mirigini- 10am

HON. GAVERA ARENI STEP IN TO SUPPORT "KEEPING HB SAFE INITIATIVE"

The Member for Elevala Lahara Hon. Gavera Areni took time to support the great initiative of Hon. Powes Parkop in keeping Hanuabada safe with Food and drinks.

This kind support shown has boosted the operation and the youths were very appreciative of the great support the Member has done. The Hanuabada safe initiative is still going with Youths continuing to make Hanuabada safe.

PM REVEALS NAME OF PNG TEAM IN NRL

Our PNG Team that will enter NRL in 2028 will be named Chiefs. This was revealed yesterday by our Prime Minister Hon James Marape prior to the match between Kangaroos and Kumuls at National Football Stadium.
