OFFICIAL APOLOGY & COMPETITION UPDATE RIGO RICE CUP
The Rigo Rice Cup Competition Management sincerely apologises to all teams, sponsors, supporters, and the general public for the delay in uploading the official draws.
The delay was unavoidable and necessary. We received an overwhelming number of formal complaints that required proper assessment and determination before any draws could be released. As a competition, we are committed to fairness, transparency, and due process, and these matters could not be rushed.
Furthermore, it was identified that Pom Kedewas failed to play two (2) matches out of the three (3) normal rounds and did not formally notify the Competition Management of their withdrawal. This action resulted in two teams receiving automatic two (2) competition points, which created an unfair advantage over other teams.
After deliberation, the Competition Officials and Judiciary Committee have ruled the following:
The competition will revert to the original format, proceeding with a Top 10 teams structure.
Pom Kedewas has been fined K1,000 for breaching competition bylaws.
Failure by Pom Kedewas to settle this fine will result in an immediate ban from the current competition and from any future Rigo Rice Cup competitions nationwide.
In addition, Competition Management has waited patiently from Tuesday until today for Southern Hammers and Gee Hood Vikings to settle their outstanding fines. As of this notice, no payments have been received.
Let this serve as a final warning:
Both teams must pay their fines before their scheduled games today, or
They will forfeit two (2) competition points, which will be awarded to their opposing teams.
We further announce that trial matches will be conducted to officially open the finals series, featuring teams competing in the Motu Koita and Central divisions (Leg Two).
With all matters now addressed in accordance with our bylaws and competition rules, we are pleased to release the official draws for this weekend.
Thank you for your patience, understanding, and continued support of the Rigo Rice Cup. We remain committed to running a fair, disciplined, and professional competition.
