SONS OF YANGORU - The Sacrificial Lamps
William Kapris and Jacob Yafai, sons of Yangoru, were never born criminals - only men obeying orders.😢
They were used like pawns by powerful politicians who pull the strings from behind the curtains mostly within Waigani 🙄🇵🇬
These leaders, shielded by power and money, send out loyal men to rob banks or to approve payments and then vanish with the loot.
Now Mr. Yafai sits behind cold bars, and Late Kapris lies breathless, silenced by bullets. Yet, the true thieves in suits walk free, shaking hands and smiling on television. Yangoru men are not evil - they are disciplined, obedient, and brave - punished for crimes they never chose to begin.
Below is a poem I wrote for the two gentlemen;
POEM; 😢
The gun smokes, the crowd cries,
William’s blood stains the skies.
Jacob rots where justice sleeps,
While power laughs and darkness creeps.
The rich man’s hand is clean, they say,
Though he planned the heist that day.
He dines on gold, he drinks with pride,
While poor men’s names are crucified.
Law wears a mask, blind yet seeing,
It crushes the weak for simply being.
In courtrooms lined with polished lies,
The truth bends, the honest dies.
Oh PNG, when will you see?
The real robbers wear authority.
Mohun 😭
