🚨 Kids in China are learning AI at just 6 years old.

Starting September 2025, AI education is now mandatory for every student — even first graders.

Here’s how it works:
👶 In primary school → kids will play games and do fun projects to understand AI basics.
👦 By middle school → they’ll use AI tools in real-life situations.
👨‍🎓 By high school → they’ll learn robotics, machine learning, and even build innovations.

China’s goal? 👉 To make AI literacy as normal as reading and writing by 2035.
They say it’s about boosting creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving so the next generation grows up fluent in AI.

Meanwhile, other countries are still debating if AI even belongs in classrooms.
China is going all in — and fast.

For the next generation, AI won’t be optional.
It will be the new must-have skill.

💭 Do you think this is the future of education?

Who Decides When a New Electorate Is Needed? Is it based on land mass? Or population growth? Or is it just raw political tactic for regime survival? The Electoral Commission’s plan to carve out 6 more seats before the 2027 National Election isn’t just baseless—it’s unlawful.

Papua New Guinea uses single-member electorates, a legacy of Australia’s parliamentary model post-independence. But here’s the contrast: Over the past decade, Australia held steady at 150 federal electorates.
- In 2017–2018 Federal Redistribution rounds, they added 2, removed 1.
- In 2024–2025, added 1, removed 2.
Net change: zero. Total remains 150.

Now, in Papua New Guinea? From 2017 to 2025, we are creating 13 new electorates. That’s not reform—that’s just reckless and illegal expansion. Section 125 of the constitution specifies that redistribution must only happen every 10years, and such redistribution can only come from a proper research and recommendation from the Electoral Boundary Commission. We are creating new electorates only 3 years from the last one! Are we deliberately breaking laws to suit our political convenience?

Australia’s population grew by 8.9% during that same period—2.2 million new voters through migration and age eligibility. Yet they didn’t flinch. No scramble to expand their parliament.

So what’s our justification? Where’s the population data to justify 13 new districts—7 in 2022, 6 more now?

Or is this about geography and land size? If that is so, look at PNG map. I would have thought Kikori, South Fly, Angoram, Vanimo Green and Middle Fly be given priority! They continue to remain districts with vast landmass and challenging geography for service delivery.

The creation of the new electorates in March of 2022 National Election has proven to be a counterproductive measure to the development of PNG. Five years later, the new districts are still struggling for basic infrastructure:
- No district HQs.
- No rural police infrastructure.

NAMAH: "SUSPENSION OF COMMANDER UNSOUND"
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

PRESS MEDIA RELEASE
Tuesday 22nd August, 2023

The Chairman of the Permanent Parliamentary Committee on Defence and
Foreign Affairs and Member for Vanimo Green River, Hon. Belden Namah
has described Govemments' decision suspending the Commander of the
PNGDF as "Myopic and Unsound".

Mr. Namah said 'suspending the strategic leadership of the Force for a tactical
training mishap that caused injuries and fatalities appears to be based on very
poor advice'

In a statement issued last Friday announcing the suspension of PNGDF
Commander, Maj. Gen, Mark Goina, Prime Minister said "Commander's
suspension is to allow the the General Board Of Inquiry into the incident to
take place with Independence and Integrity, and also to safe guard the dignity
of the Commander.

"This is all superficial", said Mr. Namah.

"I understand that immediately after the training incident, the Commander
suspended the entire training unit involved including the Commanding Officer
of Goldie River Training Depot and an internal investigation commenced".

"Why suspend the Commander when there are layers of authority berween
the training unit and the Commander? The Chief of Training and the
Commander should be suspended as well".

"It simply makes no sense to suspend the Commander and not the entire
training command below him".

"It's an ill-informed decision by the NEC", said Mr. Namah.

The last time PNGDF saw a Defence Board of Inquiry was in 2005 involving a
clandestine operation that flew Solomon Islands Attormey General Julian Moti
to Munda lsland in Solomons. The Strategic Leadership of the Force was part
of the decision authorizing the use of the PNGDF aircraft and yet the
Commander was not suspended during the inquiy. In fact he fully cooperated
with the inquiry.

Mr. Namah urged Prime Minister and the National Executive Council to
consult with professionals.

Police Media Statement
Four persons have been arrested including a policeman whilst a second policeman is expected to be arrested soon over another attempt to bribe police investigator Senior Sergeant Apollos Terry with K100,000.00 in cash.

Senior Sergeant Terry, the Officer in Charge of the Gordons Minor Crimes Unit is currently heading an investigation into a suspected human trafficking, uttering of government documents and other related transnational crimes including a suspected visa and passport racket.
Only early this month a Chinese national, Zhiyuan Cui, also known as Aaron, of Shandon Province, China, was arrested and charged when he allegedly tried to bribe Senior Sergeant Terry with K10,000.00 in cash. Aaron is the managing director of A & D Consultancy Limited, a PNG registered passport and visa agent.
In this latest bribery attempt, a man from the Central Province allegedly gave S/Sgt Terry the K100,000.00 all in K100.00 notes and allegedly asked him to drop the case against Aaron Cui. Apollos restrained the Central Province man and told him to call the person who gave him the money and arrange for a meeting. The person (named) came and was in the company of Aaron Cui. All have been detained and currently being interviewed and are expected to be charged soon.
During the interview the suspects alleged that two police detectives (named) had solicited K50,000.00 in cash from them to help stop the case. They were allegedly given K50,000.00 last week. Apollo’s team arrested one of the policeman who denied the allegation. He had K500.00 in his pocket. He was locked up at the Boroko cells and K6,000.00 cash was found at his residence at the Bagita Police Barracks in the NCD during a search.
More updates to follow.
