Congratulations ladies 🇵🇬🌊

We are pleased to finally announce our two female delegates who will be representing the country in Malaysia KUL, November 10-25th, 2023.

YES! 2 female representatives will be traveling to Malaysia next month to attend the Miss Scuba International 2023, two-week event.

Finalists are:
1. (L) Miss Julyne. Norlie is from Lorengau, MANUS Province ~ A science graduate from the University of Papua New Guinea, majoring in Biology Science.

"I am a passionate environmentalist who enjoys doing volunteer work with the communities in my home province. My aim is to assist in creating a more sustainable approach towards protecting our oceans as a scuba diver and to further encourage other females to always strive for what they believe in..."

2. (R) Miss Salome. Tibola is from Kieta, Bougainville. Salome was one of our first batch of female divers/ advocates who took part in our program back in 2017 during when SCUBA PNG initially began. She was one of the six (6) girls who acquired their Open Water Dive license from John Miller, ProDive PNG. Salome was selected for the Dive Catagory: '2017 Best Diver' that was awarded by John. Miller. She has always played an active role in our awareness programs to voluntary beach clean-up along coastal communities in Port Moresby.

Miss. Tibola is a Business Studies graduate from International Education Academy (IEA). .

~Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, the annual event staged in Malaysia had been put off since 2020. This year the MSI directors in Malaysia have asked each participating country to send forth two (2) delegates each to Malaysia.~
