Abau Baniara Border parchment coffee from the border of Central and Milne Bay provinces ready to be transported. Grown from mountainous hinterland with no road access, it takes four days to walk down to Magarida Government Station and from there, transported by dinghies to Kupiano and to Port Moresby.

Planifolia species from the mountains of Central Province. Coffee farmers from this region also keep their vanilla as alternate crop. As cocoa price continue to decline, vanilla price is exepcted to pick up in the coming years.

Coffee harvest season and we are picking up slowly. SCAPNG Inc. will be rolling out its farm level training targeting women and girls in specialty coffee begining April 2026. This is made possible with funding support from the EU and we will be working closely with the industry peak body and players.
