SIM Card Functions
Vcc – Supplies power to the SIM card, typically operating at 1.8V, 3V, or 5V.
Reset – Resets or initializes the SIM card to ensure proper startup and operation.
Clock – Provides timing signals to synchronize communication between the SIM and the device.
Ground (GND) – Acts as the common electrical reference point for the SIM card circuitry.
Vpp – Historically used for programming older SIM cards; largely obsolete in modern SIMs.
I/O (Input/Output) – Facilitates data exchange between the mobile device and the SIM card.
Optional USB Pads – Found on some advanced SIM cards to enable USB interface capabilities.
Together, these pins enable secure communication, seamless network access, and safe storage of the mobile subscriber’s identity.
