Keeping God’s Word in your heart is more than simply having a Bible nearby. It means having a verse ready exactly when you need it most.

Sunday is a good day to pause and notice what has already stayed with you. Not to give yourself a grade, but to discover how much of God’s Word you already carry without even realizing it.🙏

Lord, this week has come to an end, and I come to You with whatever is left of me.

Thank You for what went well and for Your presence in what did not. Forgive me for the haste with which I rushed through these days and for the times I tried to handle on my own what I should have surrendered to You.

Watch over my home this weekend. Give me a rest that goes beyond the body, a rest for my soul. Help me slow down, breathe deeply, and simply rest in Your presence.

In Jesus’ name, amen. 🙏

📖 _If you seek wisdom as you would seek silver and search for it as one searches for hidden treasure, then you will understand the fear of the Lord._ (Proverbs 2:4–5)

Searching takes effort. The text doesn’t say that wisdom simply falls into the lap of those who wait. It says that it is found the way silver is found: by digging.

Perhaps that’s why what we discover for ourselves stays with us, while what we are merely told is easily forgotten.
