We have people out here that want to make a change and contribution to the growth of this nation but the whole system and poor mentality is breaking the spirit of patriotism

It’s heartbreaking that our best and brightest are seeking opportunities overseas. A brain drain is imminent and before long, the PNG we know may see indigenous people become a minority. That reality is not far away. I have never seen PNG at such a low point. God help us.

John will now be fully employed with Wepio Media Agency (WMA), covering stories and news throughout the year. This recruitment reflects our commitment to creating employment opportunities for young media professionals, particularly in writing and photography.

With over three years of experience as a freelance contributor to major media organizations, including the National Newspaper on the Sports Desk, John brings valuable skills and proven work ethics.

He has been a consistent contributor to sports journalism in Papua New Guinea over the past two years. His dedication and professionalism have earned him this opportunity to join our growing team.

In addition to reporting for WMA, John will also contribute news articles to PNGs biggest rugby league news page, Rugby League Romantics.

Walked past the monkey bar at 5mile and saw these young brothers training together.

I approached and asked what were they training for thinking they were involved in a sports competition but their response made my night.

They said they started a week ago and only came out to train to live healthier lives and have stronger bodies. I commended their efforts and encouraged them to keep on doing this as this will pave the way forward for a productive and progressive future for these young men.
