Zeke a un papa chat et une famille d’accueil aimante 🥺🙏🏽 my cat is spoilt with love 🥰🙏🏽 and here I am thinking how I am going to go back and rebuild my life but I’m so blessed to have my cat and my son being taken care of by kind, gracious and loving people … oh for this, I should be counting by blessings every single day even when the path in front of me is unclear 🙏🏽🥹

Every good thing must come to an end.

Sitting here planning the end of one chapter and never was prepared for this to be honest.

Life after pastry school-exciting but also a lot of trepidation ahead.

Home! 😍
Went on an adventure yesterday north-east to Taytay Tiengge on a motorcycle ride and was heading back home and was so relieved to see familiar landmarks of the place I call home now.

I was told Taytay is the “Garments Capital of the Philippines” so I went there to see myself.

Got scorched by the sun, the heat was so different to living in Taguig which is modern, urban, fast life, home to BGC.

We had to cool it down with Halo Halo from Mang Inasal.

Taytay, Rizal is more industrial and entrepreneurial, the lifestyle looks more surburban and laid back.

Always enjoy exploring my city and the outskirts via motorcycle rides on weekends.

Suggest some places I should visit next time 🤭

Even told me on the first night, Ma’am you lost weight. Have you been eating? 😩
She last saw me in July 😅
She checked on me last night to make sure I had dinner and arrived in the morning and made breakfast before we leave for errands….

Oh my Filipina Susa lewa… maraming Salamat for always caring for me 🥺🙏🏽
PS - to my Philippines followers, the word “lewa” is an endearment we say to people who are very close to our hearts and can be family or friends.
Lewa can also be used between two lovers too so you will find a lot of local love songs always have the word “lewa” in the lyrics 😆
Lewa literally translated is “heart” in Tok Pisin ❤️

Guys, I’m losing count of the weeks in school 😆

Gone are the days for me to use dragees, sprinkles, 100s and 1000s on cakes and cupcakes.
Back in 2017 when I started my baking journey, I used silver dragees on cupcakes and my friend Donna said is there other ways to make dragees edible. I heard they’re inedible 😅
I said I don’t know but I’ll use what works 😆.

Almost 8 years later, learning to make food garnishes from scratch using things I can grab in my already existing kitchen pantry.

It’s like I’ve come full circle 🙏🏽

You can shape it into intricate, sculptural viennoiseries—like these adorable rabbits!

And on the right is Southeast Asian-Style Shrimp Pan Suisse, a cousin of the pan au chocolate also made from croissant dough

Honestly, this is on a whole other level—way better than eating a hotdog.
Crispy, flaky, buttery layers wrapped around shrimp, bacon, melted cheese, and a hint of sambal chili sauce…
