Khemjira's Rescue (เขมจิราต้องรอด) is a Thai horror/supernatural boy's love (BL) novel by author Cali (คาลิ). It is known for blending a paranormal-mystery plot with romance, though it received mixed reviews for its pacing, characterization, and the age gap between the protagonists.
Plot summary:
Khemjira, or Khem, is a gentle 18-year-old with the ability to see ghosts. He is also a survivor of a family curse that claims the life of every male descendant before their 20th birthday. To protect him, his mother gave him the traditionally female name "Khemjira," but on his 19th birthday, his protective amulet loses its power, and the ghosts surrounding him become more aggressive.
With the help of his university friends, Jettana and Charnvit, Khem seeks out Pharan, a respected master of ancient magic who lives in a rural village. As Khem and Pharan work to uncover the source of the curse, they discover that their destinies are intertwined through a past life, and a romantic connection begins to form between them.
