✨🌹 Happy Birthday, Mama Mary! 🌹✨

Today, the Church joyfully celebrates the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary—the dawn of salvation, for from her would come forth Jesus Christ, the Light of the World ( John 8:12).

💡 ⏬
Some ask, “Why do Catholics celebrate Mary’s birthday? Isn’t it all about Jesus?”
The answer: Mary’s birth matters because it prepared the way for the Savior. Just as God carefully prepared the Ark of the Covenant (Exodus 25:10–22) to hold His holy presence, He also prepared Mary to be the living Ark who would carry the Word made flesh (John 1:14).

We honor Mary’s birthday not as an end in itself, but because her life points us to Jesus. As St. Augustine said: “She conceived Him in her heart before she conceived Him in her womb.”

📖
Genesis 3:15 – God promised the “woman” whose offspring would crush the serpent’s head.

Luke 1:28 – The angel greets Mary as “full of grace.”

Luke 1:48 – Mary herself prophesied: “All generations will call me blessed.”

So today we rejoice not only in Mary’s birth, but in God’s perfect plan of salvation through her “Yes.”

🙏 Mama Mary, pray for us that we may always say yes to God in our lives.

✨ The Canonization of Carlo Acutis and Pier Giorgio Frassati: Young Saints, Models of Holiness ✨

Today, September 7, 2025, Live from Rome at 10:00 AM (3:00 PM Philippine Time

The Catholic Church celebrates a historic moment: the canonization of two remarkable young men—Carlo Acutis and Pier Giorgio Frassati. 🌍🙏

Both lived ordinary lives, yet with extraordinary love for God. Carlo, known as the “Cyber Apostle of the Eucharist,” used technology to spread devotion to the Blessed Sacrament. Pier Giorgio, the joyful mountaineer, spent his youth serving the poor while climbing “towards the heights” of holiness. 🕊️

But what does canonization mean? It’s not about “making” saints—God makes saints. Canonization is the Church’s way of declaring with certainty that these people are in Heaven and are shining models for us today (CCC 828). Like the “cloud of witnesses” in Hebrews 12:1, they remind us that holiness is possible—even for young people in our modern world.

Their lives teach us that holiness is not about perfection, but about love. Carlo once said: “Sadness is looking at ourselves, happiness is looking at God.” And Pier Giorgio’s motto still inspires: “Verso l’alto!”—“To the heights!”

🙏 Let us ask their intercession today:
“Saint Carlo Acutis and Saint Pier Giorgio Frassati, pray for us—especially for the youth—to live with courage, love, and faith in Christ.”

🌹 Feast Day of Saint Mother Teresa of Calcutta 🌹
September 5

Today the Church celebrates the life of St. Teresa of Calcutta, a humble servant of Christ who lived out the Gospel in radical charity and love for the poorest of the poor.

📖 Scripture for Reflection:

“Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did it for Me.” (Matthew 25:40)

“Let all that you do be done in love.” (1 Corinthians 16:14)

“The greatest among you will be your servant.” (Matthew 23:11)

✨ Words from Mother Teresa:

“Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love.”

“If you judge people, you have no time to love them.”

“I see God in every human being. When I wash the leper’s wounds, I feel I am nursing the Lord Himself.”

🙏 Reflection:
St. Mother Teresa reminds us that holiness is not found in doing extraordinary things, but in doing ordinary things with extraordinary love. In a world where many feel forgotten, she became a living witness that every person has infinite dignity because each one bears the image of Christ.

Today, may we be inspired by her example to love without counting the cost, to serve without seeking recognition, and to see Jesus in the faces of those who suffer.

🌺 Saint Teresa of Calcutta, pray for us! 🌺

Today August 26, 2025
marks the 115th birth anniversary of Saint Mother Teresa of Calcutta, the humble nun whose life became a living testimony of God’s love. 🙏

Her famous words remind us of her unique vocation: she not only answered God’s call to become a religious sister, but also received a “call within a call”—to serve the poorest of the poor, to see Christ in the sick, abandoned, and forgotten.

Mother Teresa’s mission was simple yet profound: “Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love.” ❤️

May her legacy inspire us today to live with compassion, humility, and service, wherever we are. 🌍

17/08/2025

✝️📖 THE ASSUMPTION OF MARY 📖✝️

On November 1, 1950, Pope Pius XII solemnly declared the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary as dogma of faith:

> “We pronounce, declare and define it to be a divinely revealed dogma that the immaculate Mother of God, the ever Virgin Mary, having completed the course of her earthly life, was assumed body and soul to heavenly glory.” (Munificentissimus Deus, 1950)

But take note: this was not an invention of 1950. The declaration was simply the confirmation of a truth already believed and celebrated for centuries in the Church, both East and West.

📖 BIBLICAL FOUNDATIONS

While Scripture does not describe the Assumption directly, it contains the seeds of this truth:

1. Revelation 12:1 – “A great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars.”

This “woman” represents Israel, the Church, and preeminently Mary, the Mother of the Messiah (Rev. 12:5). She is seen in heaven, body and soul, glorified.

2. Psalm 132:8 – “Arise, O Lord, into your resting place, you and the ark of your might.”

The Ark of the Covenant carried the presence of God. In the New Covenant, Mary is the New Ark (cf. Luke 1:43; Rev. 11:19–12:1). Just as the Old Ark was taken into the heavenly temple (Rev. 11:19), so too the New Ark, Mary, is taken body and soul into heaven.

3. 1 Corinthians 15:22-23 – “As in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive. But each in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, then at his coming those who belong to Christ.”

Mary, being the first and closest disciple of Christ, perfectly united to Him and preserved from sin, shares in Christ’s victory over death ahead of the general resurrection.

4. Genesis 3:15 – The woman’s seed will crush the serpent.

Mary, the “New Eve,” is inseparably linked to Christ’s victory. The Assumption manifests her complete triumph over sin and death.

📜 HISTORICAL EVIDENCE

5th–6th century: Early homilies on the Dormition (falling asleep) and Assumption of Mary appear in the East.

7th century: Pope Sergius I introduced the feast of the Dormition/Assumption in Rome.

By the 13th century: Universal acceptance of the Assumption as a truth of faith.

The doctrine was held in both Eastern and Western Christianity long before it was defined dogma in 1950.

This shows the organic growth of Tradition—what the faithful already celebrated and believed was later formally defined by the Magisterium.

📖 CATECHISM OF THE CATHOLIC CHURCH

CCC 966:

> “Finally the Immaculate Virgin, preserved free from all stain of original sin, when the course of her earthly life was finished, was taken up body and soul into heavenly glory, and exalted by the Lord as Queen over all things.”

CCC 974:

> “The Most Blessed Virgin Mary, when the course of her earthly life was completed, was taken up body and soul into the glory of heaven…”

🙏 WHY IT MATTERS

The Assumption of Mary is a sign of hope for all Christians. What God has done for Mary—bringing her, body and soul, into heavenly glory—He promises also to do for us at the final resurrection. Mary’s Assumption reminds us that heaven is not just a spiritual destiny, but a bodily resurrection in glory with Christ.

🔥 The Assumption of Mary is not a “new invention,” but a truth deeply rooted in Scripture, lived in Tradition, and safeguarded by the Church’s Magisterium. As the New Eve and New Ark of the Covenant, Mary’s Assumption is a foretaste of our own resurrection in Christ!

📖 “You are Peter, and on this rock I will build My Church…” (Matthew 16:18)

💒 Founded by Jesus Christ Himself, the Catholic Church has stood for over 2,000 years — unbroken in Apostolic Succession from Saint Peter to the 267th Vicar of Christ.

🌍 Today, millions of Catholics in every corner of the world keep the same faith, the same sacraments, and the same mission.

⚠️UPDATE: Spitting in Holy Water Leads to Temporary Church Closure 💧⛪

The shocking act that took place inside St. John the Baptist Parish in Jimenez — where a woman was caught on video spitting into the holy water font — has left deep wounds in the hearts of Catholics.

📹 The woman, identified in a video interview as a member of the Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) and not a baptized Catholic, has since issued a public apology, admitting what she did was wrong.

🙏 As Christians, we are called to forgive, and we do pray for her conversion and healing.
💔 But forgiveness does not erase the seriousness of the act.

This was not a harmless prank.
This was not mere “content.”
It was a desecration of a sacramental — a sacred sign blessed by the Church to remind us of our baptism, to sanctify us, and to ward off evil.

🕯 Why the Church is Temporarily Closed

The decision to close the parish temporarily is not punishment for the faithful — it is an act of prophetic sorrow.
When something holy is violated, the Church responds with mourning, reparation, and purification.

This is not common. It happens only in profound cases, such as:

Desecration of the Holy Eucharist

Spitting in the holy water font

Blasphemous mockery of sacred rites

Immoral acts inside the sanctuary

When the doors are closed, the message is clear:

> “This place is holy. We cannot resume as if nothing happened. We must first pray, repent, and restore what has been defiled.”

🛐 A Call to Respect the Sacred

Not all Protestants or SDA members would ever commit such an act — but this incident reflects a growing anti-Catholic attitude online and in society, where mockery is excused under “freedom of expression.”

Our response must be firm yet merciful:

We demand respect for our faith and sacred signs.

We forgive, but we do not trivialize the offense.

We use this moment to teach the faithful the meaning of holy water — and why desecrating it is a direct insult to God and His Church.

Even when the church building is closed, God has not abandoned us.
Perhaps He is using this moment to invite us to open the doors of our hearts, to cleanse the inner temple of our souls, and to remember that we ourselves are living tabernacles of His presence.

🕊 Let us pray:

For the woman, that her apology is sincere and her heart turns fully to Christ.

For the parish, that healing and restoration may come quickly.

For all Christians, that we may respect what is holy — and never mock what God has made sacred.

⛪ Our churches are not playgrounds.
💧 Our sacramentals are not props for views.
✝️ Our faith will always stand against insult — but with the mercy Christ has taught us.

UPDATE: Woman Who Spit in Holy Water Issues Apology – But the Wound Remains 💧🚨

The woman seen spitting into the holy water font inside St. John the Baptist Parish in Jimenez — an act that shocked and hurt countless Catholics — has released a video apologizing for what she did.

✅ Yes, she said sorry.
Let us Pray For Her And Forgive..
🛐 Yes, she admitted it was wrong.
But here’s what we must never forget:

💔 What she did was no small mistake.
This wasn’t just a “prank” or “content.”
It was a desecration of a sacramental we hold sacred — a direct insult to our Catholic faith.

👉🏽IF, she is a Protestant.

Now we ask: ❓ Ganyan na ba ang ugali ng ilang protestante ngayon?
❓ To mock our beliefs for attention?
❓ To treat our sacred signs like trash for a laugh?

We know not all Protestants would do this. But we also know this act reveals a growing anti-Catholic attitude online — hiding behind “freedom of expression” while disrespecting what millions hold holy.

🛐 LET'S REFLECT 💧
Holy water is not just “water.” It is blessed by a priest, used to remind us of our baptism, to drive away evil, and to sanctify us in God’s grace.

To spit on it is not just an offense against a Church object…
It is a mockery of the faith itself — and of the millions who enter churches daily to pray, cry, and find peace in that same place.

We pray for the woman. 🙏
We hope her apology is sincere.
But more importantly, we demand respect.

⛪ Our churches are not playgrounds for content.
💧 Our sacramentals are not props for views.
✝️ And our faith — though we are called to forgive — will always stand firm against insult.
