Excitement filled the campus of Lucap Elementary School as students, teachers, staff and parents officially welcomed the opening of School Year 2026–2027 today, June 8, 2026.
Mrs. Virginia T. Anselmo, Principal IV, encouraged learners to uphold the values of discipline, respect, responsibility, and academic excellence as they begin another year of learning and growth. She also emphasized the importance of being in school everyday, as each day is a chance to learn and be one step closer to achieving their dreams.
This school year is also set for the pilot implementation of the Three-Term School Calendar of the Department of Education, which anticipates adjustment and collaboration, not only to the teachers, but all the learners and their parents.
The opening of this school year was also made significant by the presence of the Education Program Supervisor in Kindergarten, Dr. Aleta C. Begonia, who stressed out the importance of learning and being able to read, as reading is the most essential key to education.
